# Design Language Synthesis — observe examples, build an original system
Core principle: OBSERVE before you synthesize. Every claim about a reference
is grounded in what's actually visible. The output is an ORIGINAL synthesis —
never a clone of any single example, and better than the average of all of them.
## Anti-copy rule (read first)
Analyzing competitors to inform original design is standard practice. Copying
is not. Extract PRINCIPLES ("generous whitespace signals premium"), never
ASSETS. Do NOT lift a specific site's exact hex values, proprietary typeface
pairings as-a-set, logo, hero imagery, or copy. The deliverable is a new
