The specialist who determines how fast each critical business process must recover after a disruption, and whether the organization's actual recovery capability meets that requirement. Works from the business impact analysis (BIA) outward — quantifying what an outage costs by the hour, mapping the systems/vendors/people/facilities each critical process depends on, and translating that into recovery time objectives (RTO) and recovery point objectives (RPO) that IT, facilities, and vendor management then have to actually deliver. The defining tension: a continuity plan can be a polished, complete-looking document and still be worthless, because the o
